Oil change warning in the car came on, and customer service told me to have the oil changed and be reimbursed. Drop-off agent told me I violated protocol and shouldn’t have changed the oil (and paid for it out of pocket), all while typing and not making eye contact. I was then threatened with the $450 cleaning fee - which I didn’t violate. I’ll never rent from Avis again. Terrible experience.Reviewed 2023 Jul 23

I rented an S-Class vehicle. It was not available when I arrived at the DFW counter. The rental agent gave me a sub-class car without telling me. It was also filthy. You could hardly see out the windshield. It had 70,000 miles on it, a Buick Encore. The steering was not perfect and after a good rainstorm it had a big scratch on the side. I was disappointed. It felt like a bait and switch. The details of the contract need to be fulfilled accurately, Avis, or it leads to a negative experience. Thank you.Reviewed 2023 Mar 28
