When I came to pick up the car, they were out of the class that I had reserved. The counter person informed me that I would need to pay more money for an upgrade. Never in my life have I rented a car and if the class of car wasn't available when I got there, did the rental place have the audacity to charge me for an upgrade. Then he tried to give me a "discounted" upgrade. Finally after I objected again and said that I would not rent from Sixt again, he did not charge me for the upgrade.Reviewed 2023 Nov 15

Reserved a certain class of vehicle with Kayak, was told they didn’t have anything of that class when I showed up. Was offered the ability to upgrade to a more expensive luxury option which I didn’t need or want to pay extra for when I had already reserved a vehicle, but after standing waiting for a while and asking about comped upgrades, it became clear there really wasn’t a vehicle for me unless I paid more to upgrade. So, in the interest of not waiting longer to get on the road, I went ahead with it. I never received an updated receipt from Sixt via email upon check out or when I returned my vehicle several days ago.Reviewed 2023 Sep 26

the car itself had seen better days,but was ok.it was clean and reliable being the most important thing to me as i travel extensivley.(3300) miles in 26 days...so now the bad stuff..i booked and paid for this car nearly 9 months ago,got to the desk in dfw after 20 hrs on the road to be told by the only member of staff my boooking was cancelled as my card had expired..so they would refund my card and charge a now higher amount to my new card.of course i asked why no one had told me as my card expired 3 months earlier..and the fees they added were way more than expected...needless to say sixt and i will not cross paths againReviewed 2022 Oct 29

Actually I had to cancel my reservation with Sixt. There was not an option to book directly from Love Field, so I couldn’t get to the location that was booked. Therefore I canceled the reservation and was charged $100 which I think was unfair. I want prepay with a car rental ever again and will never book with Sixt rental car company.
