Pros: I was able to drop the car off at the airport.Cons: When communicating by phone I would have liked to talk to someone in Minneapolis or at least the US not someone out of the country. I would have liked to pick up my car at the airport or at least provided with a free shuttle to downtown Minneapolis.

minneapolis reviewPros: Customer service was very professional. I mistakenly made the reservation for downtown Minneapolis instead of the airport. We picked it up there, but they allowed for return to the airport and waived the additional fee which was extremely helpful on our return.Cons: The car had a perfumey smell that we couldn't get out and it really bothered us. Otherwise everything was absolutely fine. The car was in good shape, no technical difficulties; felt safe.

Worst car rental of my life.Pros: The car was clean, although bigger than we wanted, got so so mileage, and seats were not that comfortable.Cons: The wait at checkout was over 30 minutes. I got a ticket because the car had expired plates. When I had to extend the rental due to airline issues, the automated system couldn't extend it, the first, second and third actual persons couldn't do it, and the fourth only did after calling someone else. This also took more than 30 minutes. They are trying to charge me more than $300 for the extra day, which is more than the original 5 day rental.

Pros: The service rep who helped me close out our account at the end was wonderful. I feel bad that he has to work in a place that seems to have so many screw ups.Cons: Waited in line at counter for 45 min to pick up. Had to go back to main desk to find anyone for drop off and discuss charge problem. I wasn't informed when I picked up the car at the airport that I was at the wrong location. I questioned the pick-up rep as to why the final price was $50 more than the quote. He said to call customer service later on. I did after leaving with car, they let me know I was charged $50 due to going to the wrong location. Had I been told that, we would have shuttled over to the correct pick up spot (very close to the airport). Rep at end helped sort it all out at the end.

Cons: When I showed up they told me a rental was for a downtown location asked if I could switch it there they said no I have no idea how I could go to kayak put MSP in and get a downtown location so either kayak her budget was trying to switch and bait me so I just went to another car dealer rental place and got one

Cons: In fine print budget included insurance besides damage insurance (which I was told about at the pickup counter and declined) for personal property totaling some $30 per day I would had declined had I been told about like the damage waiver It is true that I had the opportunity to read the contract in its entirety but as a practical matter no one does which I presume is why the Budget rep did NOT make those personal insurance charges known to me. people should be told about these charges so they can opt out of them
