Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: They gave us a hotspot so we would have internet but the cable it came with didn’t work and charging it was a struggle
Cons: The Nissan Versa we were given had nearly 65,000 miles, wheel covers were attached with zip ties and a fire extinguisher was rolling around beneath the trunk. Have no idea what the age and mileage policy is in Costa Rica; but feel this vehicle should have been sold/retired from rental already.
Pros: Staff were easily accessible and helpful. Pickup and drop-off were both efficient in our experience.
Cons: Be prepared for hefty insurance fees added on to the booked rental price. Costa Rica driving is really crazy so I understand the need for insurance, but just be aware of these added costs (unless you have foreign car insurance available from another source).
Pros: The extra charges for insurance were NOT transparent and more than doubled the cost of the rental
Cons: See above
Cons: EVERYTHING THESE PEOPLE ARE RIP OFF ARRISTS
Cons: Get insurance before you get down there
Pros: The staff was helpful and friendly enough...pick up took a while but drop off was quick and easy (few customers probably due to coronavirus).
Cons: If there were more prominent statements when we made the reservation online about MANDATORY liability insurance from CR government... and there would be a $950 damage deposit put on my credit card...this despite having purchased insurance covering any damage to vehicle when I made the reservation.
Pros: Staff was helpful!
Cons: Insurance is expensive but nor sure how it would compare to other rental car agencies in CR. We had no problems
Pros: Friendly staff, nice car.
Cons: Lots of hidden fees. Ended up costing me more than twice what was originally quoted on kayak
Cons: We arrive at the office and even people with reservations didn’t have a car... ours was a min when we reserved a mid size and they didn’t have anything else available. We had to go back to the airport with multiple others to find another car company that had something available but most of them were all sold out and the last option was really expensive.
Pros: Nothing. Although I made a reservation in December, Economy was unable to fulfill my reservation.
Cons: They could have given me the car I booked months in advance, or at the very least have had the courtesy to not charge my credit card after not giving me a vehicle.
Cons: Economy was excellent. They spelled out the insurance options and reminded us that our credit card covers collision. Muy Bueno!
