It would help if they got email addresses correct - even after telling them. I live in the heart of England. I have never hired a car from Hertz in the USA. I received several emails giving me instructions about picking up my hire car (including some personal details of the hirer). On each occasion, I attempted to correct the company. And now, they want me to post a review of my experience! Unbelievable. What concerns me most is not my receiving these emails but realising that their genuine customer never received anything at all about his/her transaction. I hope they got their car OK. I'll bet that now I have posted this review someone will contact me. :-) Too late! But we shall see. It's so simple to use what is called "double opt-in". car was good and the type we had requested shuttle bus was no where near the every 5 minutes or so and was quite packed (not covid friendly) staff at hertz/budget was overwhelmed - too many customers, too few knowledgeable staff when returning car I asked about payment for 'toll by plate' - probably about $5 worth that I hadn't anticipated (no cash lanes) the clerk who was there at returns said he could take care of it right there.... and rang up a charge of $73 or so! - to cover 'all tolls for a week' - we said no thanks !- he said a bill would be mailed - why not just withhold what we owe from the $200 credit card deposit taken at the time of pick up? why should anyone try to sell an old couple a $70+ for a week of tolls - I mentioned it was a small amount- and perhaps a little convenienceReviewed 2023 Mar 04

Did not realize until we got to FL that our rental was off-site of the airport. Hertz agent at airport told us we needed to get a taxi to pick up car. No problem. We got our car, a Mission, roomy enough for my husband to get in and out of. Drop off was easy and they called a taxi for us.Reviewed 2023 Jan 26
