Cons: Sixt accepted my booking for a pre selected time but when we turned up we found out their COVID adjusted hours meant their kiosk wasn’t open at the time we’d made the booking for, and after eventually after getting through to customer services were told the best they could do is rent us the car the next morning. We used a different car rental company
Pros: Easy to work with. Good price.
Cons: My plane arrived 2 hours late and the Sixtcrental counter was closed with no information available to late arrivals. Fortunately I had selected the pay at pickup option. Other travelers who prepaid for a car were even more out of luck than us. All other rental counters were still open -- it was only 830pm. We rented from Hertz, but had to pay an extra $180 for 4 days since I had to rent a type of car I didnt want.
Pros: There were a few good employees but that’s it. Drop off at LAX was simple.
Cons: We had a miserable experience and will never use them again. I rent cars all over the world and have never had issues like we did with Sixt. I think they gave away our original car— we prepaid for an intermediate car and the man at the desk was a complete jerk and argued with me that a TWO DOOR MINI COOPER WITH NO TRUNK was an intermediate car. After seeing the car and deciding it was not possible, my fiancé went back inside and a new Sixt employee immediately offered him an upgrade. I think they gave away our car and thought a woman would take whatever she was given. They upgraded us to a Chevy Tahoe that was HUGE, stunk like smoke so badly, and cost us way too much in gas. Then, after multiple attempts to get to customer service— we were able to exchange the car in San Jose to a normal Equinox. Never. Again.
Pros: Staff was not helpful. Did not try and work with customer. Manager would rather give up reservation and turn away a future client.
Cons: Rather then give up and turn away customer it would be more helpful to come up with a solution.
Pros: After hours just parking car and dropping off the keys
Cons: Knowing where gas stations are to fill up and better signs from the airport to lead you to the car rental, they were harder to locate the closer to the airport

Pros: Proactive and friendly staff. Called a couple days ahead to see if there were any special requests. Very unique for the car rental industry. Easy pick up and drop off. Very clean. Brand new vehicle.
Cons: The price I booked did not include the tax. Should be transparent across the board.
Cons: I got a call 2 days before the rental to remind me. The reservationist said I was to pick the car up on Mission St in SF and I was sure it was at SFO. She said the Mission shop would be closed before I got there. I asked how much to switch to SFO and she gave me a rate of $2800, triple the original quote. Told her to cancel and ended up making other arrangements. After cancelling I looked at my reservation and it WAS a SFO pick up. Had I not gotten that call I would have completed my original reservation. Somebody at Sixt screwed up and cost me a lot of grief and money.
