I didn’t ever get my reservation because the man at the counter of budget tried to charge my card $583.54 and didn’t tell me that it would be that much till my bank declined it because of the amount, he then told me that I could call the support number while I was on the phone he was laughing at me on the phone and telling me to stop talking to the lady about the charges.
I arrived to pick up my reserved car and there were NO cars available. I was turned away at the counter and, although the employees were extremely polite and tried to be helpful, I was left stranded because there were no cars available for rent, none!
Did not accept my credit card and did not find out until I arrived; was unable to pick up rental car.
This location was weird. Staff were in street clothes; no uniform or uniformity. I wasn’t told what kind of car I was assigned just that it was on the second floor of the parking garage. I wasn’t instructed how to get to the second floor of the parking garage where the car was located. I was told I’d need a ticket to get out but since they weren’t able to provide one, I’d just need to let the security guard know so they’d let me out. And I was instructed upon returning the car to bring the ticket from entering the garage and to take a picture of the mileage and fuel level so that they could use that instead of going to check themselves. I would only rent from here again if it was the only location left to rent a car from in the entire city.
Our car had trash in it and very little gas when we picked it up, later realized that the trunk did not lock.
The rental office turned away multiple people with reservations because they had no cars! We got lucky and got the 1 car that was delivered. Poor communications: I asked to modify the reservation for a later return but they didn’t and charged me a late fee on top of extra hours. Never emailed or gave me a receipt. But the car we got was in fine condition, no problems.
