I booked to pick up the car at 7pm. When I got to the location at 7pm I was told they have closed . I saw a gentle man inside the store and another gentleman sited outside the store. And they both told me they have closed. I was never told the store closed at 7pm. Also I got there at 7pm as booked but never attended to. That’s not professional. If you agree to attend to a customer at 7pm, you should honor your agreement . That messes up all my plans as I intended to travel that nightReviewed 2024 Sept 07

Their office was closed, I couldn't pick up my rental, and they refused to issue a refund. It was borderline impossible to reach anyone on the phone, and email support wasn't helpful either, so now I have to dispute this with my bank. Never again, NEVER rent from Sixt. Drop off was fast and fine, but pickup was slow. There were many employees just standing around while only two (eventually three) were helping customers. Though the person helping us was pleasant and professional, she couldn’t type which added to our pick up time. They refused to give us a car we had pre-paid for because the computer told the counter we were "blocked," but they couldn't tell us why we were blocked or help us resolve it. We had to find another car on a Friday evening. Several days later, someone called and told us the accounting department had blocked us. Customer service repeatedly refused to transfer us to accounting to resolve the block and repeatedly refused to let us talk to a supervisor because they "were all in a meeting." Customer service hung up on us twice. It took over a week to get our pre-paid money back and in the meantime, we still had to pay for the car we ended up renting for a much higher price. Now they want a "cancellation" fee from us. They are, without a doubt, the worst.Reviewed 2022 Jul 19

Sixt Philadelphia told me that since I was picking the car up late that I would need to re-rent the car at walk-in prices (which makes no sense and about $200 more for the week) and that I would get a refund for the on-line booking. I paid $200 extra and am disputing the original $763 charge with Chase Bank as it was not refunded. Terrible experience.Reviewed 2022 Jul 18

Pros:We were able to get reimbursed in fullCons:Kayak allowed us to select a pickup time that was after the site had closed. We ended up stranded and had to quickly make other arrangements which was very costly due to it being a last minute booking. I've used Kayak very frequently and I likely won't use it again after this issue. Really disappointing for us during our Wedding weekend.Reviewed 2021 May 17
