Just an awful experience. I had prepaid for my rental at Hertz a month in advance. I was using the car to go out of state for a vacation. When I went to pick up my rental, I was told there was no car available. Then...I was made to call the 800 number to get a refund!! The rental agent at the Wood St. hertz location are beyond rude!! They offered me no help at all!! I ended up getting a rental through Enterprise. Hertz has lost me as a customer!!!Reviewed 2023 Sep 03

Absolutely awful. Reservation wasn't able to be moved from downtown Philadelphia to the airport location. The downtown location closed at 4 but our flight was delayed so we were unable to get there on time. Guy at the desk at the airport hertz straight up told us he can't help us. Didn't attempt anything. Ended up paying TWENTY NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS for a reservation I made that was supposed to be $900. Dumpster fire of a situation and won't be using kayak for this ever again. Bert employee was an hour late to work. Once she arrived we found out they didn’t have the car we reserved. Had to find an enterprise and Uber there. We were 90 minutes late leaving because of hertz. Never again.Reviewed 2023 Aug 26

I got to the pick up location and was told that they didn't have any cars. There was no email or call letting me know in advance that my rental couldn't be provided. The woman at the counter told me that the "insurance company" came and took all the cars, whatever that means, so I had to rent a car from another company.Reviewed 2023 Aug 21

Did not have the vehicle that I reserved. After an extended wait for the proper vehicle, the charging port on the Tesla model 3 was faulty and could not be charged. I was able to drive the vehicle from Philadelphia to my destination the first day and then could not use it again. After spending 3 days on the phone with Hertz, they decided to tow the vehicle at 2am and woke up and entire house of people and children. I was supposed to receive my refund 24 hours after the vehicle was towed. 2 days later and I have not received my refund. Completely awful.Reviewed 2023 Jul 28
