The key stopped working the night before we were supposed to return it car cannot be locked unlocked or started other than to auxiliary power definitely threw a wrench in our plans and a little bit of stress as we had a 6 AM flight the next day luckily roadside assistance was able to deliver us a new car at 11 that night.Reviewed 2023 Feb 22

The initial phone reservation contact was confusing to me and that I felt kind of boxed in to renting a “luxury “card which I actually did not want because I was going to be down at the shore for two weeks out of that months rental and that did not feel appropriate for me. Apparently after another follow-up phone call to see if I could actually reserve a more practical car for me like Honda or Toyota, I was told basically that I had to wait until I arrived to change that which I found odd. However, I could not have asked for a better experience at the Philadelphia national car rental location. The on site manager who’s name unfortunately I have forgotten and the attendant were exemplary with me. They made me feel that they would accommodate my request without any hesitation. I had a choice of full sizes cars, but wasn't familiar with the models. The Nissan I chose was not the most comfortable seat for me, but the others didn't complain.Reviewed 2021 Aug 15

Rental Truck Bed Too SmallPros:The purpose of the rental was to haul a new mattress. It would not fit in the tiny bed. The next size up in pick up truck would have doubled the price. The person working the counter was less than enthusiastic.Reviewed 2018 Apr 23

Good rentalPros:Easy pick up (except we couldn't figure out how to get in the facility at first since the entrance had a sign saying "car return" when we wanted to pick up a car). The people at the pick up at PHL were very polite, helpful, and friendly.Reviewed 2017 May 23

National Car Rental is an AMAZING company to work with!Pros:From the first click on-line, to being greeted at the reception desk to sign-in at the National counter to pick up the rental car....just incredible. Everyone on the National team was top notch in their attention to details, and their customer service: stellar, truly. To the attendant who finalized our transaction paperwork, to the team member who escorted us to our rental car...simply amazing. We were struck by National's competence and we vowed to never use any other service except the best: National. Cars Were Smelly Or Unusable/Counter Person Had anCons:My Chrysler 200 had a stain on the driver's seat and the interior smelled. The first car offered was a Nissan that someone had sprayed the gages on the dash with something that had dried and couldn't come off, making them unreadable. The woman at the counter gave me an attitude when she couldn't understand my email address. Never again National Car Rental!Reviewed 2016 Jul 17
