We didn't end up renting the car. When we arrived, they told us if we do t pay $600 for their separate insurance, we have to pay $36000 US to cover the entire car, even though we have coverage with a credit car. The car would have ended up being over $1200 for a week. We will never book with Europcar again.Reviewed 2024 Apr 08

Pros:NothingCons:They false advertise. They had quoted me $118 for the whole week. When I arrived, they want to force you to take their “protection”. The rate went from $118 to over $500 It is a scam. There was another foreign customer there that was facing the same issue, These company is dishonest and want to take advantage of their customers. Cons:It took a while to convince the overzealous agent to accept my credit card's CDW. He would just not acquiesce that Mexico City is indeed covered under worldwide CDW. Dropping off was quite hard to find where exactly to drive at the airport because there are no signs anywhere. The car could've had an electronic lock.Reviewed 2019 Nov 25

Cons:I was under the impression that the insurance I purchased would cover the car, however when at the Europcar counter they told me that my insurance did not cover anything and they did not accept it. Worst mistake of my tripPros:Never having to deal with europcar ever again againCons:I was given a car with damaged wheels that I then had to pay for after I got a flat tire of 5 miles of driving. They claimed I damaged the rims and requested pictures to prove otherwise. Who has ever taken apart the car wheels when renting a car to photograph a rim. I would rather break my foot with a hammer and walk on broken glass for miles than ever do car rentals with Europcar ever again. This was simply a scam.Reviewed 2018 Jan 01
