Picking up the vehicle went smoothly, and the price was very competitive compared to other options. Our only point of friction is that a witch must have cursed us to always get Jeep Gladiators when we rent cars without specifying a model. We drove around in a big goofy Tonka Truck for the whole holiday, for a second time, to the amusement of all our friends we saw. Who even rents Jeep Gladiators on purpose? We don't know, but when it's an accident, it's always us.Reviewed 2022 Jan 03

I rented because it was $165.00. After turning back in, I was charged another $200.00 and $53.00. The total was $165.00, so why the extra charges? Kayak is nothing but a big rip off company.Reviewed 2021 Nov 23

I recommend downloading the Hertz app for mobile check-in. We found the travel to be heavy and lines longer than normal. The app allows the mobile check-in and bypass the lines. The employees were helpful and quick.Reviewed 2021 Nov 08

Paid for a car and then due to a flight delay I got to the desk 10 minutes after they closed. I called them before boarding to tell them about my delay and was told I would have the car I paid for waiting for me but that didn’t happen. Called customer service again and was told everyone went home for the day and I couldn’t get a car. Easily one of the most frustrating rental experiences I’ve ever dealt with.Reviewed 2021 Jul 06

Pros:Drop off was fine and the car itself was clean and ready to go.Cons:When I arrived to get the car they said I had already picked it up but they had actually given the car I rented to someone else and it took longer than it should have to get me on my way. Cons:I arrived to the airport 11:30pm with a reservation, and NO ONE was present at the booth or at the parking lot. I waited until almost midnight and had to talk to other company and rent a car there. Sixt was open and they made an excellent overtime work to get me a car. Once on my car I tried to call Hertz and of course no body picked up the phone, but put me on hokd saying "we currently have many calls, please hold".Reviewed 2021 Apr 22

Pros:I was quote a total of $176.00 on the phone and was total that was all taxes and ete, then when I go to get the car now it's $201 because of taxes. I feel I was lied too.Cons:The car itself was not very clean and had dents on it, even the front license plate was bent out. Very disappointed in Hertz!!Reviewed 2021 Jan 11
