The staff at the airport were kind and helpful during both pick-up and drop-off, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t go as smoothly. I wasn’t given any paperwork at pick-up, which became a problem when I ran into an issue with the car. The trunk wouldn’t close, and I didn’t have a phone number to call for help. I ended up having to stop at a gas station and pay out of pocket for assistance, which delayed my plans since I couldn’t safely drive with the trunk open. I then called customer service and spent about an hour explaining the situation. I was told everything was documented and that I would receive a credit. However, when I followed up on later days, I was told there were no notes from that call and no credit had been applied. I had to call several times and kept getting different answers, which was frustrating. To add to that, I received an email saying I could return the car at either 12 PM or 3 PM without any extra charge, but I was still charged anyway. I called several times about extending the lease. Due to renting through a 3rd party , I encountered a lot of wasted time. I had one agent who stopped talking to me because she couldn't understand what I needed. She literally stopped talking and sat on the phone. I rented through Kayak which I won't do again. Overall, while the in-person staff were great, the lack of communication and follow-through made this a really frustrating experience. Well first they wash the car and did not dry it off so I had water spot on the windows and side view mirrors and even though I could figure out some of the car in and out I had to get someone help on other thing like working the screen to get the light to come on but all in all nice experienceReviewed 2026 Mar 26

Upon arriving at the Houston airport, it took over an hour to get the rental car. We had rented the car to drive to the Austin airport due to a long layover and ultimately with how long it took budget to check us in and give us a car. Our original flight beat us back to the Austin airport completely waste of time and money would not recommend.Reviewed 2026 Feb 09
