It would have been important to have the local team inform about how complicated it is to find charging stations in Texas. And once you find them, that being foreign makes them complicated or impossible to use (some asks for local phone number, others ask to download apps that aren’t available in foreign App Store accounts).Reviewed 2023 Aug 15

Bait and switch again. I rented a Nissan Pathfinder online and they tried to give me a Chevrolet Equinox. I'm tired of the car rental industry constantly getting away with advertising one product and providing an inferior, especially at the whim of the guys working in the parking lot. One group ahead of us boked a compact car and drove away with a mustang. Another booked an intermediate car and ended up with the Infinity. After 45 minutes of demanding to be treated fairly, speaking with two "Managers" and going to their sister car rental counter, they finally found a Honda Pilot which actually is a somewhat "similar" vehicle to what I booked.Reviewed 2023 Apr 11

Long lines at pickup, very few staff working. We were turned back right before exiting the airport and we’re told to get a booster seat for my daughter who is 7 and does not use a booster seat normally at home.Reviewed 2023 Apr 10

Beware of additional fees. I booked and payed right away for the rental but was charged an additional $275.00 USD for taxes and a few other fees. That was a significant amount, I would have looked at other options closer if I knew about this. Thrifty was also aggressively pushing additional things on us such as insurance (covered by credit card), toll passes, vehicle upgrades etc. I declined all but the guy still put on a toll pass at $15.00/day. I noticed this reading the receipt while walking to get the vehicle. You can avoid tolls through the nav system. I had it removed but it was a pain to do it. I hit one toll in 2 weeks and it cost me $5.00. We also reserved a 7 seat vehicle but they tried to give us a 5 seat one. There wasn’t an argument about this but it was annoying to have to deal with it. At the end of it all it just felt shady how business was done with Thrifty.Reviewed 2023 Mar 05

The staff and customer service were always friendly and courteous, however I did get mixed messages from various members of the team. The end cost at the counter was more than double the original quoted price. The car itself had a weak battery and refused to start in cold weather. This made me have to decide whether to call for emergency service and lose a day with my family getting a new car or be without a functional car when the weather was below 50 degrees.Reviewed 2023 Jan 05

Everything was great except the person who checked me in. He was extremely rude without any reason, as if I were not a customer who paid for the car. He was loud and with a scolding tone when I handed him my driver license and debit card. My driver license is broken from the top, so he started playing with it with his hand causing it to get worst. When I calmly asked him to just take the information without tampering with it, he said good luck if they allow you out of the lot. When he took my debit card, he told me about the security deposit in a demanding way, as if I didn’t use it before or I didn’t know the process. I kept my calm in order not to complicate things, I asked my kids to go sit at the back benches so they don’t have to witness his disrespectful manners, and I walked away to the lot after he finished the transaction without commenting. I understand he probably had a rough day, and I hope this is not the case every day because it affects sales of the organization in the long run. I didn't take this car because the line to pick it up was an hour long and I didn't have that kind of time to spare. It's one thing to offer Thrifty pricing to get consumers to buy; it's quite another if you can't deliver with timely service.Reviewed 2022 May 02
