They made me take an electric car, which was extremely awful. They told me that you could fill the battery up with the same amount of time as filling up a gas tank, which is not true. You have to download apps just to find places we ended up at the police station and wasted five hours While the police tried to help us fill up our battery. It was extremely stressful and I would never ever rent one like that again, and I was very upset that we were forced into that.

Checking in was a bit ghetto with one of the counter persons squallering with her kids on the phone. I was the only one in line but the counter person decided to call her kids first and have a loud conversation on what was to be cleaned before any snacks. It was my turn to get a car after that.

Super easy pickup and drop off in Punta Gorda. However, the truck we rented had the tint removed but not the adhesive. The windows were super sticky to the touch and would barely go down and getting them back up was a half hour task. ALWAYS check ALL window operations before driving away with your car!! Upon return, no one really cared but some manager gave us a discount as long as we promised to give a 5 star review when Alamo sent a survey!! Is that bribery??

Got a car where passenger window wouldn’t roll back up. Had to drive over an hour to get a new car. They said they would have one ready for us they didn’t. Then tried to give us a smaller car while making my two kids wait in 95 degree weather.

Our flight was delayed so we rented a car for 3 hours to get away. Car obviously not inspected prior to us. Smelled like smoke. Dirty exterior. Documentation said it was full, but it was under 1/8th full of fuel. Upon return, no one around. Competitor rental company in same parking lot performing check-ins, said, he wasn't surprised. I see charged on my card, that I have no idea why.

I reserved a full size and got a smaller car. The exterior was not clean, had scuff marks and a very poor paint touch-up job. The inside smelled stale- like lingering smoke. I went with Hertz expecting better quality but did not receive it. But pick-up and drop-off was easy.

Customer service was not good. Rushed people thru without explaining paperwork told to initial everywhere and not explain why. Was charged for extra ins and other th things I would have never agreed to normally the agent would ask if you want these extras and say no. Called after getting my receipt and that customer service was also rude. Will not use avid again
