It was impossible to change or modify the reservation. Trying to get someone on the phone was impossible at the local level and at the national level. It was an outrageous sum of money to add a day to the original reservation. It took at least 2 days to speak with someone. The website was horrible. You were in a loop and couldn't move forward or back. I think at this point all rental car companies are owned and operated in the same manner. Upon picking the car up, we needed to switch the card and driver on file. They cancelled the reservation and made a new one, but messed up the drop off location. We got to the drop off location and were told to call Hertz, even though we were standing right there at Hertz. The person on the phone said we would have to call the original location to get the issue fixed but in order to leave we had to pay for their clerical error.Reviewed 2024 Feb 05

I made a reservation. They called to cancel it and said they didn't know why the computer allowed me to make a reservation. Sounds like an internal problem that a customer does not need to know about. Will avoid Hertz. They also tend to have people arrested because Hertz's computer system tells them a car is stolen when it's been returned and paid for. Bad business Hertz. You should do better.Reviewed 2022 Oct 13
