Cons:We tried to get the van a day earlier... we started that task 4 days before our original pick up date...what a nightmare. So much so that we will never use Hertz again. Unbelievable that no one could get their business together to be able to figure out how we could rent the vehicle a day earlier.Reviewed 2019 Jul 29

Steer Clear!Cons:Extremely disappointed as our agreement and payment was to/with Kayak NOT CarRentals.com. When we showed to pick up the rental, we turned away because of not having enough available credit on our major credit card. We were stuck with the $216 fee and NO car!!! At this point we're prepared to spread the word about Kayak car rentals....STAY AWAY and buyer beware. Please, we need our refund!Reviewed 2018 Oct 08

Hertz was the only rental place not openCons:Landed in South Bend in the middle of the day on the weekend. Hertz was the only car rental place that was not open -- even though I had a reservation fornthat time. Ended up going to Enterprise and got much better treatment. Cons:Didn't like they didn't inspect the car with you. The paper showed there were no marks on the car but I took pictures before driving of so many scratches and also a scratch in the windshield. I was told I wouldn't be charged for it but still odd they wouldn't have that marked.Reviewed 2017 Sep 19
