Pros: Very intimate feel. Stepping off the streets is stepping into a calm and elegant world. Love the attached ba, Wheeltapper,r that has outdoor seating, which is covered and heated in the winter. I only saw it in the winter but it a great little spot. Central but hidden courtyard. I would definitely go back to this hotel.
Cons: Would've been nice to have coffee in the lobby and more lobby seating. That area was nicely done but hard to linger.

Pros: The staff was very nice and most accomodating when I arrived and my room wasn't ready due to a late departing flight crew. They put me in another room that was larger than the one I had booked. The hotel was in a great location and convenient to many attractions. There is a great sandwich shop just around the corner as well. I will definitely stay with them again when I go back to NYC.

Pros: My husband and I were traveling with our 2 adult children and their traveling companions, so we booked 3 rooms. All rooms were spacious and comfortable. Decor was trendy, with high end amenities. We loved the rooftop bar and had a great meal at the attached restaurant. Location was perfect. Overall, a great stay.
Cons: Some of the furniture in the room was showing some wear. And the desk chair was the only chair in the room. Also, the closet was very small. Not enough space to hang our clothes and coats.

Pros: The staff were very friendly, carried our luggage, and even upgraded our room to have a terrace which was huge! The room was also very clean. We could hook our phones to the smart tv or rent any movie we wanted. The location is awesome. We could walk to Bryant Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, etc.
Cons: The elevator was very slow. We also could not change the temperature in the room. I kept setting it to 66-68 and somehow it stayed on 74 or would automatically change back to 74 during the day/night. It was extremely hot. Additionally, there is no hotel parking. We had to circle the block on our own. The hotel did give us a discount though.

Cons: The rooms were rather small - guess to be expected in NYC. Breakfast is only served until 9am and towards the end, cups were missing. I had a Do Not Disturb sign on my door and yet, a cleaning person entered my room while I was out. I found that unacceptable.

Found out the day we left that all we needed to do was ask housekeeping. That information should have been provided on check in. Bedspread was dirty. Pull out couch didn't have sheets.

They apologized and gave us a discount but it was a miserable night with the baby. We had to ask for extra towels 4 times one day until we finally got them. There were at least 3 large cockroaches that we had to kill in the room - I know it's New York, I used to live there, but it's still uncomfortable to find them in a hotel that's supposed to be clean.

Cons: The hotel is loud all day and night, the decor is old and it smelled of vinegar which they presumably pour down the in room sinks to get rid of the slightly worse smell of what goes in there when people don't leave their rooms over night. The mobile advert failed to mention the shared bathrooms, then the guy on reception just dismissed complaints with a smirk as though he'd heard them a hundred times before. The rooms were tiny and uninviting. Even the lifts/elevators were terrible - spectacularly slow and always stopped on the second floor (reception) for no reason.

Cons: Very run down, dirty hotel (apart from lobby) with small rooms. Wallpaper is coming off, carpet is stained and tiles are chipped. Stayed next door to a noicy group and security told us it was not their job to tell them to be quiet. We moved!

Cons: Bathroom small, outdated, with no space to lay personal stuff. Floor seemed to be dirty. Carpet very dusty on the edges, corners and behind the bed. It looks like the housekeeper doesn't have a canister vacuum to reach those places. Bad smell coming from moldy air conditioner. Front desk didn't respond our calls, we ask for a coffee maker to the bell man but they never brought it. We called the bell man for somebody to bring us the kart but they never came. Overall staff is friendly but not efficient.

Cons: Checked in after a long flight from Australia at 11pm. Room was not made up and bathroom was disgusting. Went to receptionist who allocated us another room - same result. Demanded a refund, and went and checked in at the Westin. Very disappointed.

Pros: The Roosevelt is an iconic NewYork City Hotel. The elevator traffic was a bit frustrating at times. We were there on a sold out night and it was quite busy. The rooms felt a little dirty and outdated. The beds were not very comfortable. We stayed here out of convenience more than anything else as we needed to be close to Grand Central Terminal for a film shoot. The staff members we spoke with were friendly and helpful. Having access to the service elevators to move our equipment was much appreciated.

Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was small; but what do you expect?! IT'S NYC! These other reviews need to get smart! Where are these people from? NYC is small piece of land, builders must build up, not across. And why are you spending a lot of time in your room? Get out & enjoy the city! Overall, I had a great experience at the Roosevelt and would def come back.
Cons: The maids were so loud in the morning! Like at 630am I heard them cackling to one another. I know how important it is to have fun at work, but maybe by 8am? Also, the rooftop bar is nothing special. There were 2 doorman who were treating it like it was some exclusive party where only celebrities attend. Um no! The views weren't great and neither was the atmosphere.

Pros: When we booked through Kayak we actually routed through "Getaroom". When we arrived no reservation could be found. The staff did not stress us out at all and gave us the room key and said that they would sort it out and we should check in with the desk the next day. I fully expected all kinds of issues, however when we went back to the desk they let us know that everything was taken care of. Color me surprised! The location was spectacular, the lobby was beautiful and the room was bigger than I had suspected. When I read Queen/Double, I expected a double but was pleasantly surprised by a comfy queen! Soooo good!

Pros: Location was decent,right next to 5th Ave Shopping and far enough away from the tourist area of Times Square.
Cons: * Needs Major Renovations! Bathroom is old and gross, This did not feel vintage it just felt like an old lady's guestroom. It even smelt like mothballs. * Online Photos are completely deceiving, major touchups were done, does not look and chic and vibrant in person WHATSOEVER * Super crowded, had a meeting in the lobby and we could not find anywhere to sit. Depending on when you check in there can be a super long line! * No Free Internet * No Coffee or Water in Room * No Safe * No Fridge or minibar * Pillows were really hard
