Pros: Loved our deluxe suite room that had sliding doors which kept each room very quiet even when watching tv with the volume turned up in one room. The push button controls were really cool for the lights and privacy settings. Enjoyed the free breakfast at Atrio and the friendly service from everyone there especially the host. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and were able to accommodate a late checkout of 2pm for us. Appreciated the unique designs and architecture of the hotel. Liked that it was located right next to the World Trade Center, and of course Shake Shack. Liked using the exercise room and business center which were very clean and well maintained. Overall it was a very relaxing and pleasant stay.
Cons: Nothing really except that there was no swimming pool or entertainment room with a pool table or table tennis.

Pros: The Roxy is an indulgence in the best of ways. It's charming and comfortable. Well appointed and close to transit. The staff is friendly and attentive. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but it was delicious. We were sort of sad we went elsewhere for Sunday brunch... The spread is amazing.
Cons: There are few negatives to the Roxy, honestly. Location is good, but not great- safety was not a concern. Just don't expect to walk out the door and be somewhere, you'll need to hop the train or a cab. The space is comfortable, but the pillows (like most hotels') were worthless.

We were told we would be called on our cell shortly after we got there to inform us the room was ready and we were never called. Cons: Charged a $30/day facility fee for access to the gym and common areas of the hotel. Staff refused to remove this from the final folio. Rooms which aren’t classified as a suite are downright uncomfortable to spend time in. While the bed was ok, the desk chair was intolerably uncomfortable to sit in for more than a few minutes. The carpeting was dirty, walls were cracked, and charging outlets for your devices were scarce. The room I selected was a king deluxe.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the hotel- It was very close to the 911 memorial and the Brooklyn Bridge where we were touring. The rooms were on the small side but very comfortable and clean and modern. All possible accommodations were even in the small space. Staff was lovely and the dining room at the top of the hotel had a great view.
Cons: Breakfast was great- food good and the views unbeatable- however the staff was little unprepared. Omelet station ran out of gas- food took a little while to get replenished - All in all everything was corrected and since we were in no hurry- it wasn't really a problem.

Cons: There is a lot of construction near Ground Zero which can make it a little noisy during weekdays, but obviously that's not their fault and it really wasn't anything terrible. And over the weekend there was no noise at all.

Cons: My complaints are minor. The fact that the food in the lobby is so expensive was a let down. I also didn't like the shower curtains because they kept falling down. My last complaint is that I didn't like the way the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were placed.

Pros: Second time staying here in 3 months. Love the location and quality. Able to check in early and check out late this trip, which really helped our itinerary (was rushing into town to go straight to my workshop, so it was nice to check in quickly and be able to put bags in room instead of leaving with concierge). Also was able to upgrade to a king bed since my boyfriend came down with me last minute. Staff was super accommodating. Close to 1/2/3 and C/E trains, as well as a couple blocks from 6/N/R/Q/W trains, so it was easy to get around to east or west side. I'm a light sleeper and find these rooms to be on the quieter side (we were facing the back of hotel, which faces downtown).
Cons: No fridge in room. Definitely a business feel to hotel, but didn't really make a difference to me. In fact, I chose the Sheraton bc in NYC hotels can vary widely and I found that chain hotels give a good consistent experience no matter the location.

It's a Sheraton and really fits comfortably within the Sheraton brand - so what you'd expect from a Sheraton is all there - plus the beautiful club lounge.

Pros: I didn't do a ton of research on Hotel Indigo before booking my stay and arriving at the hotel. We were in NY for a wedding and we received a discounted room rate as negotiated by the groom. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is hip and clean and in a great location. The proximity to Katz's is worth it. There is also really great coffee in this neighborhood. I would say the due to the room rate discount we were pretty lucky with the price we paid as the hotel was booking around $500 per night (their regular fee). I would say that $500 is over priced for that hotel but $350 or lower is a great deal.
Cons: Because there is a seemingly popular bar on the 15th floor of hotel you can run into some characters when it is just time to go to bed. Also when coming back home for the night the door man acts as security so you have to your room key on you in order to just get through the door. The receptionist warned us about this so we were prepared but I thought it was a little annoying. However as a guest of the hotel you get restaurant and bar privileges so there is no wait for you to get in.

Left some medication in my room after check out and they let me back into the room to grab it. The staff could work on giving better directions, but they were friendly and eager to help. Everything was clean and new. Also was nice cherry on top to be able to stay you've stayed at the tallest Holiday Inn in the world. Bar area was nice and bartender was friendly and offered us a free drink. Would certainly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the Financial District of Manhattan.
Cons: The room was small. The king size bed took up about half the room, but we were only staying a night so we didn't mind. Also, the parking was a few blocks away, not well marked and a bit pricey (it is NYC after all). It was a bit of a hike to get to Central Park, Times Square etc. but the Statue of Liberty and 9/11 memorial/Freedom Tower are a short walk. No need for a cab or subway.

Pros: King bed room on 39th floor at Holiday Inn Express located at 99 Washington Street in the financial district of New York City. Room was small but cozy with a comfortable king sized bed, a medium sized flat screen TV, good towels (not the scratchy thin kind you sometimes get at lesser hotels) toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and lotion). Plenty of outlets to charge whatever devices you may have and our room had a nice enough view too. Friendly staff. When checking out, we asked the desk woman if we could possibly leave our duffel bag while we walked around the city for a while and she was very accommodating with a pleasant smile and demeanor. My wife and I agreed that she seemed like the perfect employee as you'd see in a commercial. Smiling genuinely, appearing very neatly dressed and helpful to customers. Job very well done.

We booked two rooms for the price of one boutique hotel in the neighborhood. The rooms were clean and modern. I've stayed in luxury hotels like the Ritz and boutique hotels like the Kimptons. This Holiday Inn room reminded me of the W Hotel in San Francisco (size, style, etc. less one down comforter). The staff was always courteous and helpful. Free WiFi! could use their "e-room" to use computer or print boarding passes. Free complementary toiletries if you forgot something. Air conditioner was amazing. Showers and water pressure were awesome. Room was very quiet. This will be our go-to hotel from now on in NYC.

However no worries because it's NYC so there is plenty of food around. Location isn't the greatest, but it's close enough ( 4 out of 5 starts). The 9/11 memorial is right across the street, which is convenient, but other than that, you'll generally be taxiing or ubering everywhere. My boyfriend forgot his keys and didn't realize until we were back in DC. The great news is that the housekeeper did turn in the keys, but the guy in the list and find area was being a dick, asking him the most ridiculous questions... The bathroom is similar to recently updated Hyatts but the living/sleeping space is much more trendy. I liked the floor to ceiling windows and the light fixtures. Our king suite has a great little sitting area, too. The most important thing was that the location cannot be beat. We didn't take a taxi once! There are lots of great bars, restaurants and clubs in the area but the subway stop nearby makes everything easy.

Pros: Stunning penthouse. Recommended for absolutely amazing views and parties.
Cons: At times, tough to get ice up to the room as there are two elevators to the area - sometimes one could not hear the knocking. Solution, Keep the doors open so that they can walk in without difficulty.

Pros: Staff was great. Location perfect.
Cons: Cleanliness was lacking. I hate having dirt on my floors when I check in. It gives me a sense that housekeeping is not thorough and leads me to believe they skimp on other cleaning duties. There was a lot of noise outside our door. Could hear other doors being closed at 3 am. If your in your 20’s-30’s, it’s a pretty cool place. Not so much for families with kids.
Located in Chinatown, this hotel is within 2 miles (3 km) of Wall Street, Brooklyn Bridge and National September 11 Memorial. One World Trade Center and New York University are also within 2 miles (3 km). E Broadway Station is only a 4-minute walk and Grand St. Station (Chrystie St.) is 6 minutes.

Pros: I thought that the way this tiny hotel was wedged into this older part of time was cool. Literally the hotel is so small I almost missed it even when looking right at it. A bigger sign would've been helpful. The breakfast bar was good, the staff was friendly, the room was small but had everything needed.
Cons: My one major complaint was the inability to control the thermostat. There was no cool feature on the thermostat, only heat, and the staff for some reason couldn't explain this to me. I was simply told it would get cooler as the temperature went down. So during the day when it was almost 80 degrees outside, it was almost 80 degrees in our room as well. We were only able to cool the room off at night by opening our window. Also, even though I told the staff several times before my stay (I made my reservation about a month ahead of time) that I would be coming in at 6am I was still unable to get in my room until 1pm. So after riding a bus for 7 miserable hours my wife and I had to walk around NYC for another 7 hours, wearing the same clothes from the day before and with no sleep or showers.

Cons: Check-in took forever. One person was working the front desk (with a manager inexplicably sitting in the back) and there was a line of travelers waiting to check-in. I was not greeted until 15 minutes after I arrived.

Pros: The hotel was close to the red line 1 subway stop. The room and bathroom were clean. For the price it was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: There are only two elevators and it is not enough. Guests were not willing to wait and constantly were either close to or over max weight capacity. Also we ordered room service and they forgot about our order. It took them an hour and a half to make breakfast.

Pros: Always a great place to stay, close to subway, Macy's, Penn Station. We have stayed here 3 times.
Cons: Always allow PLENTY of time to get down stairs or up as it takes forever for the 2 elevators to get people up or down.
