Pros: Easy walk over to Times Square. The room was beautiful and I really felt like I got a great deal staying here! It's New York so of course it was a tight fit, but our family of four in the double deluxe room never felt too crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood was close enough to Subways and other destinations, but far enough from all the action and noise. Will definitely remember this place the next time I visit New York!
Cons: The only issue that ever came up was the shower would leak a bit into the hallway floor.

Pros: The location was great for Broadway shows.
Cons: The rooms were minimalist, which is okay because you aren’t there much. However, the biggest problem we had was that our key demagnetized EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. We put it in different pockets, away from cell phones, we were very careful because it got SO ANNOYING to have to trek back to the desk from the 17th floor every time we went back to the room. Our subway cards didn’t demagnetize stored the same way. I stay in hotels frequently at all price points and have never had this consistent a problem with room access. By the end of the trip I thought I should just probably go wait in the front desk line every time I walked through the lobby just to avoid the trip back down.

Great location! The restaurant below was excellent. Buffet breakfast was very good. Sometimes there was a very long line but moved quickly. It was irritating using room key for elevator and lights but was fine once you got used to it (and when it worked). Check-in line was always way too long- there needs to be online check-in that allowed not going to the desk. Would definitely stay here again!

Pros: Full buffet breakfast saves money and time running out elsewhere. Location is perfect. Only a block from Times Square. A block from most broadway shows. Lots of restaurants close by and close to subway . Our flight was early and they gave us a room at 9:30am at no extra charge . We will definitiley stay there again.

Pros: Staff was extremely accommodating. They let us check in early and gave us lots of recommendations on things to do in the city. Heat wasn’t working in our room when we checked in and they sent a technician up right away to get it fixed. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. Great location and amazing staff!

Pros: The best thing about this hotel was the comfortable king bed...and it truly was king sized! The size of the room was pretty large for NYC, bathroom was a bit small though. It's a clean hotel with a friendly staff. The drawback is the it is a bit of a walk to Times Square and Rock center but definitely within walking distance. The only negative was that they will charge you to use WiFi.

Also, when I called to ask the concierge about transportation to the Newark, NJ airport, she did not know to tell us there was a bus directly from Port Authority to the airport. She had described a multi step trip on the subway to the commuter train, the schedules for which "change every day." The other option she gave us was a $100 cab trip. We opted to take the bus home when catching our flight appeared it was going to be too expensive or too complicated for newbies to NYC. We learned of the bus going directly to the airport when we arrived at Port Authority. But by then it was too late to make our flight.

Pros: The hotel seem to anticipate the big and little things an experienced traveller expects and as i found out, even unusual requests . My companion is superstitious about room numbers and the front desk changed our rooms with a smile as if they do this all the time. Most of all, the hotel is very well located. it is close to the shows and restaurants that bring you to new york in the first place.
Cons: The staff took a long time to get our bags from storage when we checked out. We did not miss our connection but i was disappointed for the hotel because they were doing a really good job. Overall however, I give the Belvedere my highest recommendation.

Pros: Great location, if you can tolerate Times Square. Stayed in a king corner room on the 16th floor. Wife and I loved the bed, the view, and the bathroom. Subway doesn't get any closer, entrance is immediately outside lobby door. Gym was spacious, if you need that. Didn't try the bar/restaurant, just too many other choices in Manhattan. For that matter, nice bathroom and comfy bed is all we needed, as we weren't looking to waste time sitting in the hotel.
Cons: Again, location is great as long as you want to be very close to Times Square and all that comes with it. Noise of the city is audible on the 16th floor, but wasn't a problem for either of us sleeping through it. Wifi has a fee, but you can avoid it if you sign up for IHC membership.

Pros: The hotel itself was just far enough away from the craziness of NYC, but close to everything. Bed was comfy. Room was quiet even by the elevator. Shower had hot water/ good pressure. What really stood out were the associates at the front desk who went above and beyond to help us when we had a major issue with booking (not at all the hotels fault) and when I left my phone in a cab. JARED went above and beyond for us. He literally saved us in both situations and we can’t thank him enough. He kept his cool, worked hard to resolve the issues and never made us feel like a burden. He is the real MVP!! (We were also impressed with ANTONIO, who was very friendly and accommodating.) I will def recommend this hotel to others!

There was debris under the top of the bed (we dropped something, so we had to move the bed skirt and saw it) and the bathroom shower could have been a little cleaner (fine for most people I am sure, I am a cleanfreak)

Cons: As we were going to breakfast, we put the do not disturb sign on the door. The cleanjng lady saw it and asked us if we did not want our room cleaned. We answered yes but not now. A little bit later as we are going down for breakfast and coming up. She said ok I understand. When we left the hotel for the day, we took off the sign but when we returned, the roon was not made at all.

Cons: The rooms were clean as well as to be expected for a NYC hotel. They weren't anything spectacular. The real issue I had was the staff at the front desk. They had an attitude when checking us in and when we first walked up, we had to wait for the ladies to finish their conversation before anyone would assist us. The conversation wasn't even work related. If you want a place to stay for a night or two then it's okay.

Pros: I liked the proximity to Times Square. The rooms were comfortable and Hampton inn staff were able to satisfy my requests. They have free breakfast and had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate free 24 hours. I also liked that our luggage was stored meanwhile we explored the last couple hours in New York.
Cons: It was expensive for 2 nights since the stay was from 12/31/15-1/2/16. Some of the staff could have been friendlier to other people. Breakfast had long lines and the dinning area was not big enough to fit everyone. Overall, this is a pretty good hotel. Would stay here again.

Pros: My one night stay room was upgraded. It wouldn't affect me much but the large room, thoroughly clean, and the great ventilation made for a good night's sleep. The location in the city is perfect for Hell's Kitchen / restaurant row dining. Unlike other inns or hotels I've been to around the city, this one seemed exceptionally clean and new. Staff was friendly and helpful. The check out time (noon) is also a huge plus. The front lounge seems ideal for getting some work done or catching up with a friend (with comp. coffee, tea, hot chocolate). I'm very pleased with the inn, surprised even that it met and surpassed initial expectations, and will definitely stay again.

The breakfast was good, including eggs that were changed up every day to offer variety. The staff was very helpful. The hotel was affordable offering an excellent value. We also enjoyed some of the restaurants nearby. The Broadway shows we went to were easy walking distance (from a half block to five minutes away). We would come back here again.

Pros: It feels as if you have your own apartment. Element has thought of everything. The full sized fridge,nth silverware and the dishwasher. The most notable feature at Element is the staff. They are truly focused on getting everything that you desire to you and somehow seem to always go above and beyond. Great for locals and for tourists.

Cons: The elevators are just 3 for more than 30 floors, what makes it difficult to get in in the morning, when everybody is trying to leave. I took more than 10 minutes to get one since it always skipped our floor. The reception desk staff was fine, but just that, they were not friendly enough to make you feel they really cared for your stay. I asked about the value for a late checkout since there was a transaction in my credit card, and they just said that they did not know about any transaction according to the value I showed to them. After the checkout, that was the value of my late checkout.

Pros: This is a great little find from my perspective. The staff were all smiley and helpful, the bedroom was modern and clean; everything was thought of, from tea to ironing boards to self catering facilities. The bed was extremely comfortable and the condiments refreshing. Breakfast/coffee was free and delicious - so it was a great place for me on business, but would be ideal for tourists as it's just down the road from Times Sq. Feels boutique because it's small, but extends upwards to around 40 floors! Easy, no nonsense, practical hospitality.

Cons: Seriously LOVED our stay here. The parking was expensive but an option since we had a rental car. The staff was alllll so friendly and nice. They let us checkout of our hotel and keep our luggage there so we could see more of the city. That was awesome! The rooms were small but I liked it it was quaint and that’s expected in nyc, we didn’t need anymore room. The rooms were beautiful and updated, beds were comfortable. It was clean and just had a great experience. The only down fall is waiting for the elevator when there’s a lot of people but a non issue really. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: While the rooms are small they include everything even a safe some larger room hotels don't have. Our purpose was to see NY so the purpose of the room, sleeping was perfect. The location was also perfect and getting around NY is really easy. Only issue due to the size is that there is no place to offer even a continental breakfast. It was very updated and clean.

The Room was updated. Updated bathroom as well. But room service inexistent. Asked 2 days on a roll to make up the room and they only removed the trash. Didn’t even made the bed or changed the towels. Since we just came back late night there was nobody to clean the room. And next day we asked again and when came back nothing We will not stay again at the hotel.

The location of the hotel was absolutely wonderful… Close to Times Square and close to the subway station which takes you everywhere you need to go in New York City.
Cons: The only con would be the size of the room, but that was not a problem for me because I was by myself. Most rooms in New York City are very small so I would not put this as a negative for this hotel.

Pros: This is a wonderful establishment where we stayed for almost a full week. The doorman was very polite, as were the receptionists. We had a few special requests, which were all met with ease. When we commented that the room was a little small they showed us a larger room, which we chose to decline. Our room ended up being perfect for the two of us. The sushi restaurant on the first floor is incredible, we dined there twice during our stay. Everyone is very attentive here. I am very excited to plan our next trip and return to this hotel.

Once in the room (tiny @ about 80 sq ft), the brochure mentioned that linens are changed every three days rather than with every check in which explains the pubic hair and the stains in the bed. It took housekeeping over an hour to come and change the bed. The bed was practically a fold out couch with a futon cushion that was not very comfortable. The toilet was covered in urine, the office chair in the room was missing wheels, the ice machine was broken, the carpet was filthy, and there appeared to be a transvestite rave going on at 4:30 in the afternoon.
