I reserved a Camry and was offered a Mustang or pickup truck or Wrangler, none of which suited the size of car I needed for my trip. And Payless was just as expensive as the other companies, so I didn't pay less, and I got a car I didn't want. Last time with this company (which is also owned by Avis/Budget).Reviewed 2022 Jul 02

It took almost 2 hours to pick up my vehicle at Boston Logan Airport. I had to stand in line with customers who did not have a reservation and I had to cancel my evening plans because Payless, Budget, and Avis were the only companies taking customers without reservations. I wish there was a separate line for customers who had all of their rental paperwork done in advance.Reviewed 2022 Jun 21

I spent 2hrs waiting in line and missed a meeting because there were over 50 people in line. Then as I tried to change my car I realized you redirected me through Price Line and they would not allow me to change my reservation and then spoke to Payless and they too would not budge even though the line was wrapped 4 times back and forth 50ft and they only had one agent working when I got there... I will NEVER use them or anyone affiliated with them again. I will use another service other than Kayak if they ever redirect me to Price Line (even after I chose a different source for my purchase)Reviewed 2021 Oct 26

I had to wait in line for exactly an hour and ten minutes with many other frustrated travelers in order to do the paperwork and pick up the car. The clerk proceeded to try to “upswell” the usual prepaid tank of gas scam and to manipulate me into purchasing additional insurance The car had not been properly cleaned. There were what looked like crumbs both in the driver door handle and center console, but also my wife found a discarded face mask in the passenger door storage area. Coming in contact with it was very disconcerting given the COVID pandemic. The visible dust on the exterior was a non-issue for me, however it indicates sloppy cleaningReviewed 2021 Oct 12

Delay at pick up- agents computer wouldn't go to the next screen. First car had low tire pressure so had to waste more time switching vehicles. Vehicle was not the jeep advertised. Ended up with a pos Mitsubishi... what foolish rental company ever buys Mitsubishi POSes???Reviewed 2021 Sep 10
