The price was good. The Payless counter to pickup our rental did not exist; there was only a single very small sign at the beginning of a long queue leading up to Avis and Budget counters, all very confusing. Our vehicle was not available so the agent (Avis) gave us an upgraded vehicle at same price. The association of Payless with these other rental companies remains a mystery. Returning the vehicle was confusing as we were told to leave the key in the vehicle but nothing else. I asked a worker about this and he said we would get an email, but never got one. Seems communication on returning vehicle is rather poor.Reviewed 2022 Oct 15

Waited 2 hours in Boston. Long line. Person who helped had never done a Payless Rental. Fouled up paperwork. First car she gave me she told me to go to wrong car spot and wrong car there. Next car I was given a man was sitting in it and said he had also rented it. Third car something was wrong acne wouldn’t take my charger so 4th car was a dud. The entire rental time messages about routine maintenance needs to be done and collusion light kept beeping after repeated cleanings of windshield. No button to open and close trunk. I rented a midsize and this Outlander was definitely on small size. At checkout I was told Ivwoukd get a refund discount but that never showed in final receipt. Didn’t line car. Too basic if features. Car play would never work On the screen could only listen on phone. Totally disgusted for the amount of money I spent!!!!!!Reviewed 2022 Sep 08

I reserved a Camry and was offered a Mustang or pickup truck or Wrangler, none of which suited the size of car I needed for my trip. And Payless was just as expensive as the other companies, so I didn't pay less, and I got a car I didn't want. Last time with this company (which is also owned by Avis/Budget).Reviewed 2022 Jul 02

It took almost 2 hours to pick up my vehicle at Boston Logan Airport. I had to stand in line with customers who did not have a reservation and I had to cancel my evening plans because Payless, Budget, and Avis were the only companies taking customers without reservations. I wish there was a separate line for customers who had all of their rental paperwork done in advance.Reviewed 2022 Jun 21
