It is more what I did not like. The vehicle, a Jeep SUV, had no interior lights that worked when you opened the doors. But worse of all the tail lights did not work at night! That was dangerous and shows a lack of maintenance care by Payless. I was not happy.Reviewed 2023 Nov 13

Payless had a very smooth process with kind and friendly people, the car was very clean and in great condition. When I returned it, however, the person who marked the car as returned did not check whether I had filled the car up with gas (I had filled the car up with gas) and charged me for not doing it. Everything was very confusing at pickup and drop off. The cars are collocated with Avis and Budget but the people and information are not. No instructions in my booking email, and poor signage at the O’Hare car rental facility meant that my wife and I wasted precious time wandering around searching for answers.Reviewed 2023 Sept 19

Pros:Almost everything was fantastic. Customer service was timely and pleasant...there were only two of us in line, but there was no effort to put me off. Drop-off was easy and also quick. No receipt provided at drop-off, told I would receive via email. I filled the car with gas before turn-in...haven’t seen the receipt yet, but do hope I wasn’t charged for gas as that appears to be a problem for some.Cons:Getting the email receipt for the car rental facility is far from timely. When traveling for business in particular this receipt is critical for expense reports and a delay in the receipt costs money in disbursement lag, AND is frustrating. For this reason alone, I would generally rate lower, but the rest of the service and the car itself was really very good.Reviewed 2020 Nov 11
