I rented with dollar rentals. There was no one there at the counter. I had to go to another counter. The person at the counter immediately tried to upsell me. Immediately tried to convince me I needed a bigger vehicle. We then found our insurance And tax was going to be another almost 800$ even though our rental was under 600$. This makes no sense to Me and I will never use kayak again. I am letting everyone I know what happened and about this extra cost that seems exponentially excessive. They rented a 5 year old SUV. The vehicle broke down. I needed to spend half a day waiting for tow, tow driver trying to fix car, going with vehicle back to airport, waiting in line for a new car and driving back to our hotel over 30 minutes away. When I got back to airport, they would not reimburse for Uber ride to appointment or comp the car. Stay away from this rental company or expect a rough ride.Reviewed 2023 Feb 25

We rent multiple times a year at Palm Springs Airport. We have used all the various rental companies. This rental from Dollar provided the best price for an amazing SUV. Very good experience. Rental prices have skyrocketed at all companies from previous years. Dollar had the best rates this trip and a much superior vehicle.Reviewed 2022 Nov 01

We ordered one car for 7 people but they gave a tiny SUV. It was super squishy and was not comfortable. They also had these hidden fees and it ended up costing way more then anticipated. Overall, pretty bad experience. I would rather just rent a car from Turo next time.Reviewed 2022 Feb 23

Renting was the easiest with Dollar. All the employees were over the top helpful and ready to serve. I was amazed how seamlessly everything went from the setting up of the reservation through the car pickup all the way to the return.
