Pros: I did not like it at all. It was a fiasco. The staff seemed to be helpful, but then again they were not. I rented a car at the Ontario airport, or so I thought, because that was the location I put in my search, and that is the location that came up. It turned out that the actual rental lot was some 2+ miles from the airport rental location, with NO shuttle bus service.
The lady at Ontario was able to assign me a car out of the airport lot, but told me that she could not modify the return location. I would have to return the car to the Jurupa location, or I pay another $70 something dollars. Once I dropped the car at the Jurupa lot, I would then have to hire a taxi or another cab to get to the airport itself, since there is no public transportation or shuttle between the two places--so why did I not just pay for the $70 difference? the lady told me at the counter.
After I picked up a car at the airport, I drove to the Jurupa street lot, talked to the other staff person there, he typed something in the computer and said that he had modified my reservation: I could return the car to the airport lot, and told me that my fee was waived.
But that was not so. When I returned the car to the airport lot today, there was no trace of the change of reservation and no waiving of the fees.
Cons: The first car I was assigned had only half the plate--the other half was broken off--and the front seat was stuck in the most forward position, so the passenger's legs would not fit. The second car--an intermediate--was just passable, had 50,000 miles on it, and no floormats.
Pros: Nothing about dealing with them was pleasant
Cons: Drop box for keys for dropping off after hours
Cons: The car smelled, as if a previous driver had been smoking in the vehicle, and it wasn’t throughly cleaned.
Pros: Dropoff was easy.
Cons: The reservation was at a Hertz location OFF AIRPORT PROPERTY. I had to get a ride there at my expense. This may have been an oversight when I was booking, but I am pretty sure I reserved at the ONT airport location. I reserved a full size SUV but there were none available so I was stuck in a minivan instead. What is the point of a reservation if that vehicle type is not going to be available.?
Pros: Vehicle was what I reserved.
Cons: I had to add air to all 4 tires as they were below recommended tire pressure and the maintenance shop was closed.
Pros: The value was great.
Cons: The service was poor: I had to wait for awhile, then when I went to get the truck it was not the size truck is reserved. They had a size I could use but it took some time to get approval to change it. Then when trying to leave the wait at the gate took a very long time due to computer issues.
Cons: It was ehh
Pros: Staff at both Hertz locations were very helpful. Dave at the airport location was fabulous, and helped me out with my car rental issues
Cons: Please make it clearer that the pickup spot is not at the airport. This caused a lot of trouble, time, extra costs, and hassle for me. The car was not ready for me. It was still being worked on by the mechanics (ok that in itself is not reassuring). It was to be done by 1000. I showed up @ 1330, and the car was not on the premises because it was not ready.
Pros: Staff was helpful and kind, they gave us rides to and from airport. Service was exceptional. We’ll be back!
Pros: Staff was friendly helpful.
Pros: Nothing your customer service is trash
Cons: Everything from start to finish
Cons: The car should’ve been ready but it wasn’t had to wait 30min and the drop off horrible one of the rep I think his name was Romy was slow and rude .
