We had to wait in the Avis lineup at the Salt Lake City airport when picking up the vehicle, even though there wasn't anyone waiting for the Payless representative. It took a long time. There should be a separate Payless line.Reviewed 2024 Oct 23

I had a blowout on the freeway shortly after picking up the vehicle. Realized then they had rented me a car with no spare tire and I had to get towed at 10:30 at night. The next day they sent a tow truck to pick up the vehicle, but made me get my own ride to the airport to pick up a new rental. They did offer to pay for an Uber, but it was incredibly inconvenient. I had originally been told they would deliver me a new rental, but then they said they didn’t have the staff to do that. It literally took half a day to get all the arrangements in place and pick up the new car. After all that inconvenience, they only refunded me $120 from a two week rental. I will never, never, never, rent from Payless again.Reviewed 2021 Jun 23

Cons:My flight was delayed until 2.5 hrs after the rental office closed. I called and tried to change the pick up time until the next morning. They told me that was fine but to price would have to go up by almost double. When I asked why using the same car for less time would cost twice as much, he stated he could only do what the computer allowed. I asked to talk to the supervisor and he said sure and then it hung up. I found a different car rental for less money and a nicer car.Reviewed 2021 May 29
