Our pickup time was at 10am and we did not receive a car in SLC until 3:30pm. This caused us to have quite a bit of inconvenience in having to leave the AVIS rental location and wait until they called us later in the day when a car was ready. While we received a nice rental vehicle, it wasn’t overly clean. The dropoff in Omaha went smoothly.Reviewed 2026 May 31

Convenient location, great car, very clean. Pick up can be more smooth. Not sure why it took so long to enter my details in the computer (since I already entered them online). Took 15 minutes to get my drivers license registered, fill out forms, texting on cellphone, scanning QR codes. Not sure what was happening since i already had a reservation and filled out my details online, but took way too long. Anyway. I am thankful and appreciative of the service. Terrible. Had to wait in a huge line for over 1 hour after a long flight. Only two clerks were available, and at one point there was only one clerk. Everyone in the block long line was angry, stressed and complaining. The other car companies next to us were well staffed and had no lines. Then when I finally got my car it was low on gas.
