Book Dollar car rentals in Miami

• Where is the ideal place to park my rental car in Miami?

All across Miami, there are innumerable street parking spots where you can leave your vehicle. You should be aware that all street parking is metered, so be careful to pay when you park to avoid any issues. Free parking is only available Monday through Saturday after 6 p.m. and all day Sunday. This is because the parking doesn't operate at this time. However, if you are looking for cheap parking tips, consider Park 'N Fly.

• Is it possible to return my rental car to a different location?

Company policy mandates that you return the rental automobile to the same spot you took it up from. However, doing so could be exceedingly inconvenient at times. For instance, it makes no sense to return the car to downtown Miami and then take a taxi to the airport if you took up your automobile from downtown Miami and are departing the city via MIA airport. You can easily change the returning address to the agent at MIA airport by calling the agency and explaining the situation. It is advisable to contact the agents at least 24h before your return time. After processing your request, they will give you the go-to proceed.

• Which type of car is suitable for Miami roads?

Miami doesn't have any particular topography or features that would necessitate the use of a certain kind of vehicle. You have the flexibility to drive any car you want because the streets are sufficiently wide and generally smooth. Don't be afraid to spend a lot on a luxurious rental to fit the occasion if you're in town for Luxury Miami Boat And Bus Tour.

Our first car had a broken key fob. Returned it and they tried to give me a smaller car that didn't fit everything we had to carry. Had to push for what I rented (mid-sized SUV) but was eventually acommodated. Car was nice, new and clean. Only other issue was the toll pass, they charged me $29 in convenience fees for $16 worth of tolls which is ridiculous.Reviewed 2026 Apr 14

It took an hour to pick up my car. There were 10 people ahead of me and 4 counter agents. That's ridiculous.Reviewed 2025 Mar 20

We ordered a premium smaller vehicle and when we picked it up, they said they needed to send someone upstairs to go get our vehicle and bring it down. We waited 45 minutes and asked people about it 3 times before we finally got our car. And when we did, the car was not ever upstairs. It was sitting right behind the booth, in the lot with everything else. They were just so disorganized they didn’t know it. There was also only one person there helping people. So we watched several other people have to wait very long wait times just to speak to the person to get their car. And this was in the garage, not in the office.Reviewed 2024 Oct 23

They required me to pay an additional hundred dollars upon arrival to get the car. Thus, the amount that was charged me by KAYAK turned out to be false.Reviewed 2024 Jul 20

Terrible, after I dropped off the car and asked the representative if everything was okay. She then asked me if any accidents, I replied no. And she said all good. Later that day, to find out that I am being charged $400. For washing fee. Turns out it's for smoking. I do not SMOKE at all, so the fact that this company is charging me on something that I have not done. It may have been a mistake on there end but until then, this is ridiculous and hope to get this settled.Reviewed 2024 Jun 30

We reserved our car several days in advance. When we arrived they didn’t have the car we requested and had to borrow one from Hertz. Total check in time was 45 minutes. Very frustrating.Reviewed 2024 Mar 09
