I didn’t like anything, because there was nothing to like. I went to get my rental at the time that you told me to. But you didn’t have any cars available and didn’t allowed me to have one. I had to buy me a ticket on Amtrak. For the money that you took from me, get prepare, I’m going to sue you. An less you put that money back on my card😡 you should not had made the reservation if you didn’t have a car to rent.

The people who work for Sixt could have been friendlier. They were short and aggravated with no smiles, no "your welcome", nothing of the sort. Other than that, the experience of renting the car was great and smooth.

The drop off was complicated moving the charges to another credit card despite our telling them our intentions before we took the car and as we dropped it off. It required a manager and quite a bit of time. Fortunately, we didn’t miss our flight but it was close despite the extra time we allocated and TSA-Pre.

The wait time for pickup was very long. The Budget employee that I worked with was pushy with selling their insurance to the point of giving misinformation. The car windows were dirty from inside and I eventually had to spend time cleaning them thoroughly because it was otherwise very difficult to see through them.

The car was clean, comfortable. But when I booked, I paid 85$ as quoted and when I got to the counter to pick up the car, I was charged another 200$ that would cover 150$ as a "return fee" that was not disclosed anywhere because I was picking the car up at San Diego and returning it in Phoenix. I don't mind paying a fee as long as it is disclosed ahead of time and I can fully make the decision to rent or not, by comparing with other services. The counter representative only explained that it would be refunded once the car was returned. I returned it the same it was rented, (Sat 5 of sept) and the money has not been refunded (as of 9/9 9:29am). Maybe I have to wait a little longer to get the refund but there was a lack of clarity from the representative to explain where in the contract that I was to sign, it stated that it was going to be refunded. I asked how I could be assured that the money was going to be refunded and the only response was that it would. The one thing I will praise was the car attendant that received the car in Sky harbor airport in Phoenix, I did not get his name but he was very helpful, and guided me out of the rental area at 11pm. Very kind of him. For safety, I will write to Fox to let them know that as I was braking in the winding downhill road towards Phoenix, the car wheel was trembling and I had to descend at less than 50mph to be able to keep the car stable, probably an issue with tire balance. Crossing my fingers I get the refund, but this should not be the case.

My vehicle was not ready on time so I had to return later. When I returned I was given the wrong vehicle, much less than I had paid for. The manager was not able to give discount because the rental was purchased thru Kayak. Will most likely never use Kayak or Fox again.

They didn't have the cargo van I reserved and wanted to charge a lot more the two things they had in stock were not good either bad breaks or check engine light on I didn't want either of those so opted not to get from them and went to a different rental and got what I needed just paid a lot more due to lack of notice.

Beware! Deceptive pricing. Forced me to take minimum coverage costing an extra $150 even though I explained I already had insurance. When I called to complain, they asked me to bring the car in for inspection and if there was no damage they would refund one day. This is crazy. Don’t rent from this company.

Ace had great pricing and pickup and drop off was quick and easy. Jenny helped us check in and was very nice and helpful. She gave my wife and I several restaurant recommendations while we were in town for the weekend. Car was nothing special and drove a little bit run down, but it was fine for the few days we used it. Would use them again because of the customer service, ease of booking, and value.

Nothing because they said or we scheduled to pick up the car at 6:00 PM and it was confirmed. We received emails for 6:00 PM pickup. When we went for pickup they were closed and there was already a customer waiting who said he had have a really hard time getting a car there. The gates were closed, no car for us. The response was “guy leaves 6:00 pm on the dot” Really? Worst place to book from. Never book your car here unless you want to take the risk of not having a car to drive when you get there.

Everything - I don’t think this car rental should be permitted to operate if they don’t have the will to serve their customers with right information and service.

this rental company should clearly indicate international customer have no option but they have to paid the liability insurance and it cost 16/day so customer don't get frustrate and choose the other rental car that does not mandatory on this. also they should need to mention that they don't care about the customer so they don't answer the phone no matter what and you need to find yourself to get to the rental car company. for customer, i will say look at the review before book this company and if they are lazy or stupid enough like me then they will learn the lesson hard way.

Pros:

staff was very friendly

everything was great but did not receive a truck with a full tank. the dial gauge on the dashboard showed the nail as full but the digital fuel gauge showed fewer miles than how I returned it. I explained this to the rental agent but he just blew me off.

Pros:

My rental car was dead at noon June 15, 2021 on our way from San Diego to Yosemite National Park. We contacted National roadside assistance and they couldn't do anything to help. We had to be in the middle of nowhere under the heat of 100F. After 7 hours stranded, the tow truck came at 7:30 pm to tow the car and left our luggage on the street. The taxi came at 7:45pm to take us to the rental car office, but the office was closed at 5:00pm. Taxi only offered to take us to the nearby hotel and it had to be under our own expense. I couldn't stay at the nearby hotel because I already sent my under age children to the campsite close to the Yosemite National Park with a group of friends when the car broke down. I had to pay my friend to come back from campsite to car broke down location to pick us up and took us to the campsite while the Taxi denied to take us because it was too far. We had to spend $200 to cover that pick up. The road side assistance had confirmed that their agent at the airport close to the Yosemite NP had a reserve replacement car for us, but when we came to pick up the car. They had no car available; We had to call RSA and stayed on the phone with them hours and hours, I was stranded at the airport from 9:00 am to 3:45 pm on June 16, 2021 talked to a whole bunch of different people to end up with the smaller SUV that didn’t have enough room for everybody in my family and the luggage. Half of my family had to split with other cars within our group of friends. The rental car has ruined my family vacation. We had lost 2 vacation days. Instead of enjoying nature, we have been stranded on the road or the rental car office. We had lost our park’s fee and the campsite’s fee for nothing; the stress of dealing with the Roadside assistant customer service that won’t be able to help much drove us crazy. On the top of those issues, I have been charged almost $54 for the gas on the Buick Enclave and they didn’t give me the credit for the gas left on the Infiniti QX80 when the car was dead and it still had more than ½ tank of gas. With all of those issues National only give me credit of $199. I was so frustrated with National. I will never rent from National or deal with Kayak again. The worst customer service that I have ever deal with.

The value of renting the car and process was worth it. However, pickup with the shuttle went terribly since they hadn't come from an hour, ignored my phone calls, and I ended up ubering to their office from their assigned pickup point.

Supplier choice

Got in to the airport at 5:45. Apparently they close at 5:30pm. What kind of a rental car place closes? People depend on it. Horrible! Had to rent a car from someone else.

When I booked this rental, the description showed the rental center was off-site as were all the other major rentals, Avis, Budget, Dollar, etc. What WASN’T revealed until our plane landed was that a 2nd shuttle from the rental center was required. That shuttle dropped us at an office located through a garage into a grimy building with all vacant offices except the U-Save rental office. After completing the paperwork (which included a statement that there would be no price adjustments if the vehicle was returned early- which we did after experiencing the multi- shuttle issue), we had to walk down a hill to a parking garage to get the car. The vehicle itself, a Toyota Corolla, (these are now “standard”, not “compact”) was a brand new hybrid and worked well except for the 1 trip we took with all 5 of our party - a bit cramped. When we decided to return the car early to avoid the dual shuttle situation on our departure day, we were directed to wait in the dark, grimy garage for the shuttle to return. 5 other folks arrived with their luggage also. After waiting around 10 minutes, we decided to Uber back to the hotel. We trudged the 1/2 block up the hill from the garage (we’re 72 and 83 years old) , where the shuttle would have been also, and got an Uber with no problem. The Uber pulled up at the same time as the shuttle - which was a 7 passenger mini-van - it would’ve been a tight squeeze. Bottom line - decent car but not worth the aggravation. Spend a few more dollars for a name brand company. I wish we had.
