Pros:Great price, close to the airport, and convenient shuttle service
Cons:When we went to pick up the car they wanted to charge an extra fee because my drivers license is in state even though I don't live there any longer. We are a military family and so we can keep our license no matter where we move. We are able to work it out by switching my husband to the primary driver as his license is in another state. But I think that is a silly requirement to get the discounted rate.
Pros:Good value. Nice car. Nice girl at check in/pick up
Cons:Slow...soooo slow to get the car and even when dropping it off. The other problem was that my car only had 1/4 tank at pickup, and I was told it was full. I didn’t notice til about 30 miles off the lot, so I took a picture of the gas mileage and tank at that time. I couldn’t get ahold of anyone helpful via phone to discuss this, and potentially getting a refund on my prepaid gas (when I was dropping it off). When I went to drop the car off, the guy at the counter basically told me I was up a creek bc I didn’t notice before driving up the lot. Spoke to the manager who came up with a solution, which worked fine. He was just a jerk, and not interested in finding a solution.
Cons:They charge you a concession fee, they charge $25 a day for an EZ pass even though NY state has initiated cashless tolling, for which places like zipcar simply bill the client after the rental. And they charge $3/day additional driver fee for my wife which neither Hertz nor National do. Those fees would be fine if your site told me that. But with these additions the car was more expensive than other choices. Last but not least the people working there were poorly informed and almost rude. I don't think I'll rent from Advantage again and since Kayak didn't disclose those fees ahead of time I'm probably not coming back here either.

Pros:Friendly helpful staff. Prepaid for the rental, with no surprises at the counter. We had no issues at all.
Cons:Better back office support for the counter agents. A couple of customers were waiting and complaining about supervisors assistance and having to call the home office for problem resolution.
