There is no indication during booking that this place does not offer airport shuttle. We had to uber to it. When we got there it was a trailer in a sketchy lot and there was a line out the door to pickup the car. One guy worked the line and it took 1.5 hours. There were angry customers everywhere, ones dropping off and picking up. The place requires that you show proof of insurance by logging into your app, which most folks did not have. Other than that hassle the car was good, the drop off was good. The pickup experience killed it, though.Reviewed 2023 Aug 01

Ace is 15-20 minutes away from airport and it costs an additional 30-40$ to get your car and return it! In addition to the extra time and aggravation when you get there! Get a car that is at airport…save time and money!Reviewed 2023 Jun 26

They charged too much insurance fee. Even we had to paid an Allianz insurancw plan which we had not listened to or agreed to have. We were charged 91 USD for 1/4 of fuel, which would be 4-5 times more expensive than the normal gas price. It was a terrible experience.Reviewed 2023 Jun 20

Drop off was simple but service was poor. Agent did not greet, acted rude, did not ask if everything was okay with rental. Immediately went on the offensive into what I was going to be charged. I asked what the problem was and the response was that the car needed to be detailed and will be out of commission for a few days which I was going to be responsible for. If I would've been notified, I would of ran the car through a $20 car wash and vacuum; never had an issue with simple debris at other rental locations; I was under the impression that the cost of the rental included a wash. Also, never received a receipt of the breakdown for paying 3X the quoted price.Reviewed 2023 Jun 01

I paid. I arrived to rent a car. Guy refused to rent me the car for no plausible reason. He said “We’re closed, it’s past 6pm and I’ve been working too much.” and it was 5:30pm. Worst experience in my life.Reviewed 2023 May 01

It was the worst car rental experience I have ever had. I booked through Kayak, prepaid and flew into San Diego. After landing, wewere waiting with several other Kayak customers for the shuttle, and when it showed up, the driver said "we don't have any more cars". They weren't apologetic nor did they give us a voucher for a future rental. They said Kayak overbooked them and that was that. They did offer to give us a refund. I then had to go to Avis and pay an enormous amount because they were almost out of cars. I would never rent a car from there again. So buyer beware, you get what you pay for.Reviewed 2022 Mar 03

When I arrived at the car rental station I couldn't find Ace. I called 3 times - was connected to someone, then when i asked where they were, I was put on hold then disconnected. I never found the Ace rental counter.Reviewed 2022 Feb 28
