Pick up in Lós Angeles and we will return in Las Vegas on 01.01.25 in Hertz 1815 Sahara Avenue. However, at the scheduled return, the rental company was closed with no instructions on where to leave the car. When we called the central office, they told us we would have to return it at another location or keep the car for an additional day. Pick up was terrible, long waiting line very very long, online check line was offered and when I got at the very end, it didn’t work so I had to go see a staff a counter because the online don’t always work from what I understand from the staff and it happened the exact same thing to the family we were travelling with. At counter, they were trying to sell us all kind of coverage, insurance although we declined…. We lost about 20 mins just for that when it only took 10 mins to complet the rental. I waited in line for 3 and 1/2 hours to pick up the car I had reserved and paid for. No explanation as to why it took so long. No apology. Then when we got the car, it stunk of cigarettes and marijuana. Needless to say, I will definitely not be using Thrifty or Kayak ever again.Reviewed 2024 Aug 10
