Most visitors from Israel need to provide a negative COVID-19 test result and/or quarantine to enter Panama.

Panama border status

An electronic affidavit of good health for all travellers entering the country needs to be filled in upon arrival. The affidavit form will be available at the website: www.viajes.panamadigital.gob.pa. The completed affidavit will generate a QR code, which will needs to be scanned on arrival at Tocumen Airport.

Panama encourages the use of the IATA Travel Pass app. This app will have up-to-date information on travel restrictions, authorised labs for Covid-19 tests and vaccine information. It will have the option to enter personal data, such as vaccination information and tests undertaken. The government will accept the “OK to Travel” certification from this app as a validation for Covid-19 tests on travellers.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type
Visitors from Israel must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 48 hours before departing to Panama.
Exceptions

Travelers arriving without a negative test or without a valid negative test must take a COVID-19 test at the airport on arrival, at their own cost.

Quarantine requirements
Visitors from Israel will need to quarantine for days upon entering Panama.

Test type
Travelers returning from Panama must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departure to Israel.
Exceptions

All passengers, including protected individual (vaccinated and individual who recovered from COVID-19) must present a PCR test. It must be written in English and the passport number of the tested person must be indicated.

All inbound international passengers must pay for COVID-19 (PCR) tests required for entry to Israel.

Quarantine requirements
Visitors returning from Panama will need to quarantine for 14 days upon entering Israel.
Details and exceptions

This may be shortened to 10 days upon the completion of two negative coronavirus tests (one upon arrival and one after 9 days of self-isolation).
